On October 21, 2026, Japan Activation Capital, Inc. (“JAC”) hosted the “Japan Activation Capital Roundtable Meeting 2026,” held in conjunction with Japan Weeks, an initiative led by the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA).
In recent years, the environment surrounding Japan’s mid- and large-cap listed companies has changed significantly, driven by reforms to the Corporate Governance Code and a growing focus on cost of capital and capital efficiency. Against this backdrop, the event was held under the theme “Japanese Companies Moving to the Next Stage: JAC’s Investment Strategy and the Road to Creating Shareholder Value.”
Hiroyuki Otsuka, CEO, and Mich Maebori, Partner, presented on “Trends in Japan’s Mid- and Large-Cap Listed Companies,” “Transformation for Value,” and “JAC’s Investment Strategy and Approach to Value Creation.” The event was attended by a wide range of media representatives and financial institutions, including sell-side and buy-side analysts.
